STARKVILLE, Miss (Take 30 News) - - Some drivers said Blackjack Road has caused numerous problems due to potholes.
Students and permanent residents alike tell Take 30 News they've complained about the road for years.
Former Mississippi State student, Lucia Luck drives on Blackjack Road to get home each day and said she regularly hits potholes. She said she’s had enough.
"The roads are really dangerous to drive on. When you're going up and down the car is constantly going back and forth by the bumps and potholes on the road,” Luck said.
According to Oktibbeha County Board of Supervisors, Blackjack Road will be fixed. They’re just not sure when.
“I can’t comment at the moment because nothing is in official writing. They are still wanting on the bids,” one supervisor said.
Lucia just hopes the road gets fixed soon.
"I mean, I know there's a lot of traffic so it's hard to get done. Hopefully, by the end of the summer,” said Luck.
