MISSISSIPPI STATE, Miss. (Take 30 News) -- The 2020 baseball season is almost here but the inclement weather around Starkville is affecting the beginning of the season.
After Cowbell Yell's cancellation earlier this week, MSU baseball fans were left disappointed.
Senior Accounting student, Brittany Dennison, was upset about missing her last Cowbell Yell.
"I love Cowbell Yell, I go there every time they have it. It's my senior year, now they cancelled it, so it's kind of a bummer" said Dennison.
Aside from Cowbell Yell's abrupt cancellation, fans were still excited to see the beginning of the Diamond Dawgs journey to Omaha.
Mechanical Engineering student, Nirmal Bhatt, was excited to return to the stadium.
"I did go to a couple of games last year and while I had never been to a baseball game before, it was a great experience" said Bhatt.
The first few games against the Wright State Raiders resulted in landslide victories and the Diamond Dawgs face off against Oregon State here in Starkville for three games, the weekend of February 21st.
