MIAMI, Fl (Take 30 News) -- Missing birthdays, events, and simply the enjoyment of someone’s company has been on pause for now.

With people staying indoors and practicing social distancing, people are now relying on their phones more than ever to stay connected with friends and family.

California resident AmBria Tate hasn’t missed a beat with her usual activities. Even though she can’t go anywhere to meet people, she uses a number of apps that allows you to stay connected with us.

"I like to talk to family mostly through FaceTime or Zoom or text throughout the day. I like to chat with my coworkers on Zoom and Slack, also emails sometimes but not as much and then also talking to my friends FaceTime, Zoom, Houseparty or Marco Polo,” Tate said.

Tate loves being able to still stay connected to everyone, she is still saddened that she is missing big events that would usually be in person.

The things that I'm struggling with during quarantine is making memories with friends and family for certain event, whether it's graduations, or wedding, first birthdays for babies, birthdays or monumental birthdays, mostly just missing events that would've normally been in person is really tough to deal with and have it virtually instead,” Tate said.

With everyone hoping COVID-19 will be over soon, Tate has big plans for when she back allowed to be around others.

"My first day out, I am going to go and have a glass of wine at my favorite restaurant with my husband,” Tate said.
