Kennett, Mo. (Take 30 News) --People across the nation are struggling during this pandemic. From the loss of jobs to not being able to be social, a toll has been taken on our nation. But there is one aspect of this virus that affects only a few people, but they’re feeling robbed during this time and those people are high school seniors.

“As a parent of a senior this year and being out of school due to the COVID, it’s pretty heartbreaking for me.” Heather Shaver, concerned mom of a senior, said.  “When you get your baby and look forward to all the firsts in their life one of the big things you think about when their tiny is one of these days you’re going to want to walk across the stage and graduate.”

These seniors and their families are optimistic that they will have a ceremony of some kind, but time will only tell.
