STARKVILLE, Miss. (Take 30 News) ---Grocery stores are a must during shutdowns due to COVID-19 but there is one entry that some may find surprising: liquor stores.
82 Package Store in Starkville has made changes to take precautions for COVID-19.
Jessie Starks is the manager of 82 Package Store.
“We have hand sanitizer, and we also added a drive through window so we wouldn't have a problem with over ten people in here at a time,” Starks said. “And we also marked lines out there for customers to stand that far away from each other waiting at the window.”
Other businesses that are not in the essential category have moved to deliveries and curbside services only.
However, even with adjustments being made, Starks said business is still slower.
“[They] are not coming out,” Starks said.
