Shoppers Met with Empty Shelves as People Hoard Toilet Paper, Water

KENNETT, Mo. (Take 30 News)---During the Coronavirus epidemic, we have heard the stories of people hoarding toilet paper and water. But when you are in a town like Kennett Missouri, with a population just over 10,000 people, and the only store in town is out of what you need, it creates a new struggle.

“The Walmart shortages have really at times been pretty tough” Kennett resident Stacy Whitfield said. “There have been other things that are not available like getting groceries. The meat is almost gone and if you don’t like certain things then you’re up a creek.”

To combat the actions of hoarding necessary supplies Walmart has put in place a rule that puts a limit on how much you can buy things such as paper products and water.
